The decorative ornamental mailboxes were originally painted and put into service as residential mailboxes.
Shortly after installation, the mailboxes started to corrode causing unsightly rust bleeds through the paint. Rust stains were defeating the purpose of the mailboxes, as they were intended to be an artistic enhancement to the residences. Desiring a long-lasting, maintenance-free coating, the specifier turned to hot-dip galvanizing. The mailboxes were reinstalled along Main Street, where they will remain a pleasing aesthetic enhancement for generations.
