Located in one of the most traveled and famous intersections in America - Times Square - the structure that holds the New Year's Eve descending Ball needed to be refurbished and upgraded. Hot-dip galvanized steel was chosen because of its durability, as well as the successful performance of the galvanized sign structures on the sides and tops of the neighboring buildings. Low maintenance was a high priority for this project - at 27 stories high, choosing a corrosion protection system that will keep it structurally sound and maintenance-free was the right choice.
