The galvanizer worked very closely with the Dant Clayton, fabricator of the railing for this project which consisted of 1800 lineal feet/80,000 lbs. of galvanized material for the upgrade. Quality was a major concern for Phase Two as was safety with the additional handrail. Dant Clayton met the galvanizer at the plant on multiple occasions to discuss what was expected and the galvanizer delivered. The results were well received by Oklahoma State University. Delivery schedules were met on a timely manner, and on a few occasions a 48-hour turn around was needed and met as the galvanizer kept Dant Clayton on schedule. The galvanizer also provided additional value-added service to make the project flow smoothly, applying cloth electrical tape on 2,953 male threads and then brush cleaning the threads after galvanizing. The galvanized project will stand the test of time, coating durability, corrosion performance, sustainability for many years to come.
