A new parking structure was completed in September 2018 to accommodate parking for Mountain America’s new corporate headquarters and the Hales Centre Theatre, which is located in the Mountain America Performing Arts Center in Sandy, Utah. This seven-level parking structure contains more than 1,700 parking stalls and was constructed with 65 tons of hot-dip galvanized steel.
The galvanized steel framing on the exterior of the parking structure supports the marquee used for advertisement and showcasing the latest or upcoming Hale Centre Theatre productions.
Mountain America built their new 11-story, 327,000 square foot Corporate Headquarters, as well as this parking structure, as a result of outgrowing their previous headquarters in West Jordan, Utah. Mountain America employees will utilize the parking structure during the day, and in the evenings and weekends it will accommodate Hale Centre Theatre patrons as well as the public.
The galvanized steel framing on the exterior of the parking structure supports the marquee used for advertisement and showcasing the latest or upcoming Hale Centre Theatre productions. Powder coated steel exterior panels are attached to galvanized steel frames creating the balance of the façade of this parking structure.
Hot-dip galvanizing was chosen for the exposed stairs, handrail and steel frames for its superior corrosion protection and longevity. The handrail and stairs were then painted onsite for aesthetics.
