The Long/Spring Street Bridge is a highly traveled road in Columbus, Ohio, where regular maintenance is not an option. Galvanized steel has been used in this area for many years with success, and was the obvious choice to protect this fence from corrosion protection. The rounded shape and clean edges made it necessary for the material to be galvanized with quality precision.
A duplex coating was used to give the fencing a more decorative look, as the bridge is a main thoroughfare into downtown Columbus. Hot-dip galvanizing the fencing was the first step in the downtown Columbus beautification process, and was deemed both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
