In Marysville, Kansas, an unassuming, quaint town along the Kansas-Nebraska border, one finds a corporation that has continually helped America move forward since 1963. Landoll Corporation is a leader in the manufacturing of trailers in various sizes. Their dedication to quality products, that are built to last, has won them numerous awards and several military contracts.
a tight metallurgical bond between the steel and the coating...
Landoll trailers boast one of the highest resale values in trailers due to their quality and ability to withstand the harsh weather conditions out on Americas highways. In creating a product that can withstand the hands of time, Landoll takes important measures to ensure their product is tough. Not only do they utilize hot dip galvanizing - to protect the steel frame of their trailers, they take their weathering to the next level by utilizing a powder coating or a coat of paint as well.
The HDG and powder coat or paint, working in tandem, make their trailers some of the most durable in the world. The addition of the powder coat, after hot dip galvanizing, also allows Landoll to create custom trailers made to customers color requests. Landoll continues to grow, as many more customers are requiring that their trailers be galvanized.
Its easy to see Landoll has the highest commitment to quality and excellence. It is no surprise they strive to offer the best corrosion protection available. Landoll recognizes the hot-dip galvanizing (HDG) process provides a tight metallurgical bond between the steel and the coating, resulting in a material with the strength and formability of steel plus the corrosion protection of zinc.
Zinc protects the base metal by providing a barrier to corrosive elements. HDG assures a tightly adherent, uniform coating of zinc on both sides of the trailer. Hot-dip galvanizing alone offers both forms of corrosion protection, barrier protection and cathodic protection. However, painting or powder coating over hot-dip galvanizing creates an additional barrier layer. Painting or powder coating over hot-dip galvanizing, known as Duplex Coating is also an option available on Landolls top of the line trailers.
Landoll Corporation partnered withthe galvanizer in 2008. Landoll appreciates their company-wide commitment to customer service and innovation. Being the best cost producer for all products and services they provide enables Landoll to offer Duplex Coating as an optional feature. During peak production in 2013, the galvanizer was able to provide Landoll with two fully galvanized trailers per day allowing Landoll to keep up with the high demand of these state of the art trailers.
