Galvanized steel has long been established in landmark, traditionally styled building structures. For centuries, the public and contractors alike, have depended on hot-dip galvanizing to provide a long lasting coating for their structures. However, the Himalaya Company has taken the durability of HDG a step further, or in this case, a drive further.
Corrosion protection is vital for these vehicles to maintain their glory and hot-dip galvanizing allows these vehicles to maintain their durable appearance for many decades to come.
The original Land Rover vehicle was introduced in 1948. Known as long-lasting, reputable, and very durable transportation, the transformation to a renewed Himalaya is quickly becoming a novel way of rejuvenating these older models of Land Rover vehicles. President Greg Shondel put it this way, “It looks as it should.” He went on to say that renewing these vehicles provided him a way to keep the Land Rover name alive and well. It’s traditional for him and his company. With the use of hot-dip galvanized parts infused into his renovations, it assists in making the old parts look new again while reinstituting the long lasting performance of hot-dip galvanizing with the Land Rover name. There are very few other vehicle manufactures using the long lasting durability of hot-dip galvanizing in their manufacturing process and with the majority of Himalaya owners living on or near the damaging environment of a coastal region, it only made sense to stick with what has worked for over 70 years.
Yes, the vehicles are reserved for the higher echelon, but these same prominent individuals are providing a sense of renewal for an iconic transportation vehicle that relies on hot-dip galvanizing to provide these vehicles with a long-lasting, attractive and durable coating for future generations to enjoy.
While most of the galvanized components are cosmetic, these units provide the essence of the brand itself. Corrosion protection is vital for these vehicles to maintain their glory and hot-dip galvanizing allows these vehicles to maintain their durable appearance for many decades to come. When it came to making a decision to use hot-dip galvanizing again, the question was mute for the Himalaya president. HDG was part of the historic integrity partnered with the name Land Rover. Both names standing behind all the benefits and standards of said names.
Since inception, Land Rover and Himalaya are now leading the way with other vehicle manufactures involving hot-dip galvanized steel in their production including Toyota, BMW, Audi, and Volkswagen. It would seem that the public has accepted the fact that HDG can play a major role not just in long-lasting architectural environments at home but also on the road.
