Saf-T-Cart’s goal isn’t just to make the best pallet trucks and trailers on the market, it’s to provide their customer with the best trailer for their operation by letting them dictate what they need. Whether it’s the number of pallets per trailer or the size of the trailer itself, Saf-T-Cart wants to help strip away all limitations and maximize their customer’s potential.
“We have had a corrosion problem with our northern customers due to road salts for years, and hot-dip galvanizing is the only cost effective answer we could come up with for our customers.”
A palletized operation immediately boosts efficiency by moving and storing cylinders in bulk for a quick turn-around. Though a pallet trailer can be docked for single cylinder delivery, its ability to load and unload from the side make it the quickest and most versatile way to deliver cylinders.
The original design of the pallet trailer and frames was wet paint. With such an intricate design Saf-T-Cart had to work closely with the galvanizer to retrofit their previous trailer design to be suitable for hot-dip galvanizing. After several meetings with their engineering department, and a lot of time marking up parts on their production floor, Saf-T-Cart was able to successfully hot-dip galvanize their first pallet trailer frames & deck in 2021. Currently pallet trailer frames & decks up to 5’6’x8’0”x53’0”’ are galvanized.
