The Flying Fish was designed for a park or seaside setting and would be 'in the elements' at all times. Because of this, galvanizing was the best choice for long term corrosion resistance, including coating the inside of the "fish bone" pipes. Also, the changing patina of the galvanized coating brings another artistic element to the project.
