The harsh New York City weather will not prevent the beautiful stadiums duplex coating system from being rust free for decades to come. The conservative maintenance budget and close proximity to environmentally-sensitive areas required the longest possible maintenance cycle protection, a duplex coating of paint over galvanized steel. This is a highly visible public stadium in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, so the design philosophy was to create a more aesthetic sight for park users.
