Christ Church Cathedral is a Louisville landmark on the National Historic Registry. In July 2000, some ornamental gates were installed on the property. The artist selected hot-dip galvanized steel with a top coat of paint to provide longevity as well as match the gates to the surrounding area. Artist Craigh Kaviar said Artwork should last generations, hot-dip galvanizing is the only process Ive found that can accomplish this.
