A Greenbelt project, the Chisholm Trail Parkway is a 27.6 mile toll road that extends from downtown Fort Worth, TX to Cleburne, TX. Sabre Galvanizing Services galvanized 1065 tons of T401 bridge rail, 200 tons of picket and mesh fence panels, and 550 tons of lighting structures for the road.
The bridge rail and fence panels were a duplex design so they were painted after being galvanized. The project designers chose a duplex design because it blends better with the area and provides a more aesthetically-pleasing look. The lighting structures were galvanized only.
Galvanizing was chosen for the project for corrosion protection and the service life requirements of the products.
