Chipotle

The Chipotle Restaurant chain based in Denver, Colorado was approached about the staining on their sidewalks after using weathering steel as part of the theme of their southwestern look. They had used a plated mesh material on patio areas, framed in Cor-ten steel. Over time the mesh and the sidewalks looked awful. The galvanizer offered to take down the railing at a local store and galvanize it to see how it would look and react to the elements and the environment. The weathering steel was replaced with hot-dip galvanizing for optimum corrosion performance and improve the aesthetics of the restaurant.
