Cernunnos

Cernunnos is the deity considered the king of the Forest. He has characteristic antlers, is imposing in size and can assume alternate forms. Since he represents both the spirit and physical world, his appearance is ethereal.

The galvanizing process provides corrosion resistance and a shimmery effect which is perfect for the ghostly nature of the forest deity. It is placed in an outdoor setting of a forest of pine and aspens exposed to the elements throughout the year and visited by various animals including elk, squirrels, skunks, and various birds.

Entire Sculpture

The 8.5 X 6 X 3 foot sculpture was designed, conceived and fabricated with 3/8-inch steel rods and 16-gauge sheet metal which was cut and welded using the MIG and Oxy-Acetylene welding process. The ethereal character is best represented by the open nature of the form.
