CloseHot-dip galvanizing was chosen for these cell tower platform sites. These sites needed to hold up and maintain important phone equipment for the area's cell phone users. All are located outside and exposed to the elements of the four Chicago Midwest seasons. Durability of the corrosion protection hot-dip galvanizing offered more that off-set the cost of using painted or unfinished steel for this application.
