Anheuser Busch builds a number of product handling systems for the beverage and brewing industries. The company has been extremely pleased with the performance of hot-dip galvanizing on units in the bottling process, and thus continues to specify galvanizing on its capital equipment.
The Depalletizer is used in the first step of the bottling process, and thus requires weekly high-pressure cleaning with various chemicals and disinfectants. Previous barrier coatings were unable to withstand this constant cleaning and required extensive repair and maintenance. The maintenance-free, durable galvanized coating can sustain the harsh chemicals without corroding, which allows the bottling process to continue uninterrupted. The galvanized coating helps Anheuser Busch be more efficient while saving on maintenance costs during production.
