Hot-dip galvanizing was the only option for corrosion protection for the Akron University Soccer Stadium in Akron, Ohio. With an increasing number of collegiate sports stadiums using galvanized steel, and because the schools football stadium utilized galvanizing, the choice was obvious. In order to protect the outdoor stadium from the unsightly and potentially hazardous effects of corrosion, all steel components were hot-dip galvanized. This will provide a superior coating to protect the beautiful stadium for generations of soccer fans.
