Mr. Sass is a local sculptor who has been hired by the University of Vermont, to go through their grounds and locate and restore the many pieces of metal art and statues that have been hurt by time. This entire statue was designed, rebuilt, and single dipped into the galvanizer's bath. Mr. Sass was a real student of understanding HDG and what is needed for a quality galvanized finished product. He deserves a great deal of credit for the outcome of this magnificent piece.

Mr. Sass wanted a coating that would preserve his creation for decades to come. He designed the restoration right down to the chemistry to be used in the metal. Coating durability, and increased strength of the base metal is what he was looking for to make this superior to the elements, pigeons, and students it would come across in the years to come. He told us only HDG was the way to go for his work.
