Retirement Its something we all look forward to. This too was the case for Jerry and Beth Uptmor. After watching their three children grow up and become successful adults, they decided to find a comfortable place to retire.
They chose a beautiful piece of property on Table Rock Lake by Branson West, Missouri, which came with a two slip dock needing repair. The dock was painted (rather than hot-dip galvanized) nearly 12 years ago. The paint had peeled off and the metal completely corroded, so Jerry decided to hire Safe Harbor Dock to rebuild their dock.
As with any retiree, Jerry decided that he wanted a coating that would last him for the next 20 30 years. Safe Harbor explained the benefits of hot dipped galvanizing to him and Jerry liked the durability and sustainability of galvanizing, so he decided to go this route. Once he received this material, Jerry wanted to get the galvanized steel painted to match the color of his bass boat. He picked the color Ford Blue and used a solvent based paint from PMI (out of Joplin, Missouri).
