Testing the process on just one bunk cleaner proved to be a turning point by demonstrating a level of protection that would ultimately change their production approach and make galvanizing a part of their future products going forward. Hot-dip galvanizing stood as a clear choice for their products moving forward due to its ability to withstand harsh environments and provide a durable, corrosion-resistant finish that will last decades with minimal maintenance. About 95% of the product components are now galvanized including the housing frame, bolt-on cone, sand trout and blower spout.

Working closely with the galvanizer the team was able to strategize and carefully plan the vent and drain hole placement on the material as well as proper dip orientation. The galvanizer was able to offer S&W Welding quick turnaround times as well to meet all the project deadlines with ease.
