Rapture Sculpture

The Rapture sculpture, designed by Bret Price, is located on the campus of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. The artist has had several smaller pieces galvanized in the past, but Rapture was the first of this magnitude to be galvanized. The artist specified galvanizing because he desired a smooth, appearance that would remain uniform over time.

Galvanizing will also provide the sculpture with corrosion protection in the exposed environment, while the uniform coating adds to the aesthetic appearance. Galvanizing the sculpture ensures it will be a mainstay in front of Laurie Auditorium for students and the public to continue to admire well into the future.
