Princeton University, the fourth oldest college in the United States decided to replace the 15,000 windows at their Washington St. location. They wanted a replacement product that would prevent corrosion yet be aesthetically pleasing.
The University specified steel windows with a hot-dip galvanized and powder coated finish and selected Hopes Windows. Hopes is the largest steel window manufacturer in the world and their reputation is built on quality and longevity.
The project had some rigid schedules to meet. But, because galvanizing is a year-round process and not dependent on weather, the galvanizer was able to the meet the timetables.
The duplex system will meet Princetons requirements. Hot-dip galvanizing will provide long-term corrosion protection and the powder coat will provide the aesthetic enhancement.
