Ask any resident of Old Hillard Subdivision what their main concern would be about the new specialty entrance sign for their neighborhood, and all of them would answer appearance. This project was initiated with the corrosion protection of hot-dip galvanizing and the sacrificial bond that the zinc makes to the steel and finished off with a smooth black paint job for an attractive subdivision gate. The biggest challenge of the 10,000 pound project was dipping, properly venting and draining the square tubing that made this sign.

Residents of the Old Hillard Subdivision required an attractive, long-lasting, and maintenance-free sign structure to welcome visitors to the neighborhood. To achieve the look and durable corrosion protection desired, a duplex system of paint over HDG was the best solution, giving the structure extended time-to first maintenance and an attractive black finish. Proper venting and draining required special care from the galvanizer and fabricator, but the end result is a welcoming entryway into the subdivision that will stand strong for generations.
