CloseWith a favorable experience history on many miscellaneous metal work projects, the architect for the new federal building utilized hot-dip galvanizing to fill the request of the owner for a low-maintenance building that met all of the stringent security and wind load criteria. Additionally, the architect chose galvanizing for the exposed steel fabrications (tubing and angle frames for the exterior curtain wall and punched window framing) because of its image of strength. Insisting on window framing with no drips and virtually perfect coating smoothness, the architect was pleased with the outcome.
