This galvanizing project was used to freshen up the sculpture out front of their office. Jackson Tube Service pledge is building for the future which is to communicate quality, durability and longevity. The sculpture consists of hundreds of pieces steel tubing.
This year they decided to refresh the entire sculpture and strip and galvanize the continents once again.
Strip and galvanize the World Globe out front of Jackson Tube Services in Piqua, Ohio. Nearly all the tubing used in the construction came from Jackson Tube Service, it was fabricated in 1996 by Indian Creek Fabricators in Tipp City, Ohio.
Originally the continents were powder coated which did not work out well when galvanized in 2001 / 2002. This year they decided to refresh the entire sculpture and strip and galvanize the continents once again. Special handling of each piece of the sculpture was necessary through all phases of the project: disassembling, cleaning and galvanizing. We took extreme care in shipping the 23 weldments on multiple pallets back to Jackson Tube Services on our truck to insure better handling of the sculpture so that each piece would not bend, dent or get misshapen in any way once it was hot-dip galvanized.
