Boston, MA United States | 2002
Host of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, British Columbia worked hard to upgrade its already beautiful landscape for the onslaught of tourists. The 'Sea to Sky' project included upgrading the rails and guardrails along scenic Highway 99. Almost 400 tons of steel were hot-dip galvanized along the picturesque coast of the Pacific Ocean, including 48 new bridges and 219 retaining walls.
Almost 400 tons of steel were hot-dip galvanized...
HDG steel will provide an essential barrier protection to preserve the bridge from the onslaught of traffic and the surrounding marine environment. Additionally, because galvanized steel is 100% recyclable, it provides an environmentally friendly solution to keep the drivers and visitors on this beautiful scenic highway safe for generations.
