The six-lane, Golden Ears Bridge in Vancouver spans the flowing Fraser River and recognizes the nations relationship to the land through the inclusion of fish trap fences and eagle sculptures. The handrails, guardrails, fish trap fences, and eagle sculptures were all hot-dip galvanized to help protect against the moist and highly corrosive marine environment. The superior barrier and cathodic protection of the galvanized coating will keep the bridge standing structurally sound and corrosion-free for over 50 years. This durability will ensure the bridge serves as a safe way for travelers to cross the river for generations to come.
