We loved working on this latest sculpture, a set of giant "Jacks" by local artist Kevin Byall.
This sculpture was created by the Misfit toys collective as part of the One Tin Soldier.
Local fabricator and artist Kevin Byall sent his amazing sculpture to us to be galvanized. Because this is for permanent display outdoors, Hot dip galvanizing was picked due to the long term rust protection inside and out. The galvanized finish is going to be left raw because that will best replicate the natural state of the original toy. Because the pieces were hollow, careful consideration was taken with hole placement for venting and draining. Our team worked with the artist to carefully plan drain and vent holes so that the pieces can be dipped safely while retaining the original look of the pieces.
