Big Tex Aerators is the company that designed these aerators located in Rosharon Texas just outside of Houston. These aerators are built to service all kinds of aquaculture aerating needs from redfish and catfish farms to oyster bed farms.
The decision to HDG these aerators was ultimately the right choice for the application. These aerators will be floating in fresh and salt water on a continuous basis, therefore there was a need for them to be corrosion resistant for a long period of time. As hydroponics and aquaculture farming are becoming more and more popular in todays society, these aerators provide a way to add the needed oxygen to the water that is needed on a larger scale. These specific aerators are installed at a redfish farm in Mississippi. During the design phase the galvanizer and fabricator had to figure out how and where the best place to install drain and vent holes and still not alter the function of the equipment itself. Having the aerators HDG will outlast any other coating that could have been applied saving the end users money over time of not having to re-coat the equipment they purchased.
