Cape Canaveral Launch Site Towers

In order to protect vehicles from lightning strikes around the launch complexes at Cape Canaveral, a lightning mitigation system comprised of eight steel towers topped with 100 foot fiberglass masts and cables, was installed. The steel towers were galvanized because the coating offered corrosion protection able to withstand the heat of Titan launches.
