Over 130,000 lbs. of steel that was fabricated for brick release angles, door frames, and framework for the glass canopy was galvanized. The steel was fabricated by Boe Ornamental Iron. The canopy on the roof was built to cover the mechanical equipment on the roof. Located on the roof, a hot dip galvanized product will minimize the maintenance needed. Being located in heart of Edina near hospitals and many businesses. They wanted it to look good for many years. The corrosion protection and longevity of hot dip galvanizing will provide these qualities.
The Aurora on France opened in December 2016.
