Iscar Ground Services designs and builds state of the art ground services equipment for the aviation community. Their Heavy Duty Cargo Dolly is put to the test on a daily basis, moving cargo weighing up to 15,000 pounds throughout each day.
With the rigorous duty cycles and constant exposure to the environment, Iscar faced the challenge of selecting a coating that can withstand the elements, particularly on units sold in tropical areas. By galvanizing the dollys, they were able solve the problem by creating a product that can withstand the harsh environment, increase their service life, and relieve themselves of the high maintenance costs, all while developing a new brilliant look to their product. Although paint was always used in the past, by introducing galvanizing, this new product creates a niche market of high durability and weather resistance that is uncommon in the market.
