Artist Peter Busby magically transformed 3600 pounds of steel rod into this fluid and intricate sculpture of three horses, perfectly capturing the beauty of motion in nature. Hot-dip galvanizing was chosen as the best method to protect this work over the many years it is expected to please the artistic eye. The Toledo environment can be quite severe with wide temperature extremes.

The galvanized finish on this sculpture offered an excellent base for the artist to apply a final coat of linseed oil and a blackening agent. The 11 foot tall sculptures were galvanized in a single day with special attention given to matching the lines of sequential dipping.
