Arizona State University Parking Garages
Scottsdale, AZ United States | 2004
The Parking Garage at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey was built using hot-dip galvanized steel because of the successes of galvanized projects from neighboring schools including Monmouth, Princeton, Rutgers, and Lehigh. The winters in the Northeastern United States are known to be quite daunting, so hot-dip galvanizing was the go-to choice to provide corrosion protection against inclement weather. Sustainability was also a key factor in the decision to use HDG; zinc is 100% recyclable and requires little-to-no future maintenance and upkeep. The customer was so pleased with the result of the galvanized project that they will likely continue to use galvanized steel in many of their future projects.
