Structures throughout the power system are exposed to various corrosive environments and in some cases, the type of generation itself affects the environment. From blazing sun and temperatures to UV rays, the hot-dip galvanized coating can withstand many extreme environments. With the long design life of power structures, maintenance-free longevity is paramount.
There are four main macro environments power structures are exposed to and each has different factors that dictate the corrosivity to galvanized steel.
