Steel structure and wood track coasters, which were extremely popular at the beginning of the century, fell out of favor due to the expense and inconvenience of maintaining painted steel. A new twist on an old theme, according to the architect/engineer for Lola and Stella, Kentucky Kingdom's notorious Twisted Sisters, describes its choice of galvanizing to protect this beautiful, unique coaster.
