Brooklyn Bridge Pier Benches

In a very busy public area of the New York borough of Brooklyn they have been trying to make a more "people friendly" area for viewing one of the most famous bridges in the world. Public and private funds were used to clean up and restore the area. They needed a coating on these park benches that could withstand not only the impossible weather of the NYC waterfront, but the public and the natural usage of the many people who visit the area every day. Corrosion performance was important for the weather, durability for the area, and life-cycle cost for the long range maintenance of this renewed area in New York.

High visibility to the public and another example for the officials of NYC bridge and park maintenance of just how well hot-dip galvanizing performs.
